The republican arguments against passing DADT were shallow & obviously politically motivated. It amazes me how mindlessly cohesive they are as a group. Like a bunch of lemmings.
The fact that the Dem's aren't so cohesive to me argues for their broadly progressive attitudes about issues. They think about issues, debate them and rarely vote strict party lines. Which is a failing in many instances. But like I alluded to before, they aren't a bunch of lemmings blindly dropping off a cliff because of ideology and mandates and threats from above.
