Maybe that Heavens Gate cult that took off into outer space had the right idea when they turned all their members into eunuch's. I hurt just thinking about that.

I was reading from one of the very first posts where it was said the the US has a low collective IQ, compared with other countries. When I was in school learning to administer IQ tests, my professor explained some of the misconceptions about IQ scores. Generalizations, from some things I learned from him, over large populations are now suspect to me. There are many factors that confound any such assertion. One may be as simple as that people from many more strata of society are given the tests in our country, compared to many other countries where only elite people are even permitted the testing. Then it is a quotient, how much a person knows and can perform, in comparison with people his or her age, of the total of what is on the tests. So, whoever claims that we have lower collective IQ in the US, please explain or cite your source. Sounds a bit like something someone pulled out of a nearby dark place. :-)
