Headline:Gates outlines plan for < military spending (LinkHere)
This is SOOO over due. The US spends @ 10X what any other nation in the world spends on defense. Gee, do you think cutting this might help the deficit? The R's don't seem to think so. Neither do those legislators who want to protect bases, military installations, projects or manufacturing in their districts. That's going on in my area right now. Gates wants to close JFCOM which is here in Hampton Roads VA. Something like 6K jobs on the chopping block.
